Glen Marr Residents
Hello Glen Marr Residents! This webpage is dedicated to keeping you informed about the news and events that affect your neighborhood. The Glen Marr allotment at Atwood Lake consists of the homes along East and West Lakeside Drive, including Glen Drive. The allotment has a fishing pond, east and west docks for boat owners that purchase docking stamps, and a picnic area with a beach. Yearly HOA fees are collected and used to make improvements to the shared areas. The HOA holds meetings in the Spring and the Fall of each year and welcomes input from all HOA members. Being a member of the HOA gives you a voice in future improvements and neighborhood events.
HOA member benefits
An opportunity to be part of future improvement decisions. Your $50 membership gives you the opportunity to share your ideas and be a part of the decision making process for all common area amenities.
Increased security. When people know each other, they look out for each other.
Increased amenities provided by the HOA funding may even increase property values and make the allotment more attractive to potential buyers should you need to sell your home down the road. A home that is part of an HOA rich in amenities holds more value!
Homeowners that have homes on MWCD leased land typically pay a yearly lease fee that ranges from $1,200 to $4,300, in addition to property taxes. The high lease fees allow for those areas to provide costly amenities. Our Glen Marr allotment, with the help of additional funding from our residents, could allow a planned approach to continual improvements, making Glen Marr the most affordable and attractive privately owned neighborhood on the lake.
